I'll dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
